The Food Photography For Cedar Point
Growing up in Northeast Ohio, I had my fair share of treks up to Cedar Point. It was extra special to work with their parent company Cedar Fair on a few projects over the past few years. This latest project was for their King’s Island park in Cincinnati Ohio, photographing all their limited edition food and beverage for their 50th anniversary. They always come up with the most amazing food & bev for all their events, and the team is incredible to work with - the chef, cooks, producer, stylist, etc are all amazing at their jobs.
The creative brief described a bokeh background with gold coloring. After trialing a few options we ended up building a custom backdrop using kitchen tile and plywood. The result was amazing, albeit pretty heavy!
You might not expect it from an amusement park but their sushi is amazing and looks incredible with the custom background. Food photography in Cleveland is one of our favorite shoots, the ingredients can be challenging to work with, but always a lot of fun.
